- Unidentified man was arrested by police at Berlin Tegel Airport last week
- He is currently detained in the German city pending further investigations
- He trained as a nurse but didn’t have the qualifications to work as a doctor
An unidentified man who allegedly posed as a doctor and treated hundreds of patients on board cruise ships has been arrested in Berlin.
The 40-year-old Berliner is said to have worked on boats for at least five years, including most recently on board AIDA Cruises, while not having the relevant qualifications or licence to practice.
It is thought the man, who trained as a nurse, faked his credentials but the details of the case are still under investigation.
